WORKING SO HARD. WORK IT. OH YEAH.

Man we are so amusing.
If I did not have Sophie here at work with me, I would die. No joke. She is my life support pumping me full of giggles.
Ooh, durty.
This is just one sequence of many, many funny emails.
Although I could just be at that point of boredom where watching someone over the age of 50 type would even be funny.

Do you remember the song?
“Am I not pretty enough? Is my heart to broken? DO I cry too much? Am I too outspoken? Don’t I make you laugh? Should I try it harder? Why do you see right through me….?”

Seriously get a grip girl!!!

How depressing. She literally lists her qualities;
“I live, I breathe, I let it rain on me, I pray, I love, I’ve waited long enough, I try as hard as I can.”

WOW you sound so different, unique and exciting. I wonder why this boy doesn’t like you?

And if the first things that come to mind about yourself are: you live and you breathe, I think we can rule out creative and dead. Cool.

Haha yes. And the way she sings it all nasally and horrible you can also rule out ‘musical’

Which is also depressing because she has literally made that her career. Why hasn’t she listed delusional!?!?

Delusional people don’t know they are delusional. That’s why they are delusional.

My intelligence overwhelms me sometimes.

I hate me blog name. HATE IT! Need a new one

Sophie has a blog also, by the way. She is a very intelligent, funny girl writing about whatever the eff she wants basically, but in an intelligent and funny way of course. We are trying to think of a name that aptly gives this impression. It's hard!

C.E.L.I.N.E.

Now that I am a professional working woman, slogging away 9 to 5 (8:45 to 5:15) for The Man, I believe I need a LARGE wardrobe re-vamp. My ripped and studded jeans hold no place here, I cannot wear my little busty summer dresses; no one appreciates that shit here. This is a professional, conservative place of work! Plus they have a big hole in the crotch and I just think that would be taking the office slut title to a whole new level.
What I need is clean crisp separates, perfect for interesting layering, matched with simple and shiny accessories to spice things up. Where else to look for inspiration than Celine?
Phoebe Philo has tapped into an extremely profitable market, the working class woman who isn't interested in a boring ass suit but still wants to look professional, elegant and dare I say it...edgy. She's a bit of a genius that Philo. Every season she creates is perfectly in tune with what we working woman want and need in our ever expanding work wardrobe.
Leather pieces and interesting yet simple silhouettes have become a bit of a signature for the brand. You can always tell when a piece is from Celine. It’s a pretty great achievement for a designer to have created such a recognisable brand in such a short amount of time as head designer. BUT I would expect nothing less from the former designer behind Chloe.
Here are a few of the peices I adore in the summer and spring ready to wear collections.
PS: I'm writing this while at work. Hard at work.

90s VERSACE HOT MODELS HOT SKIRTS. HOT. SHINY.

One of the best campaign photos form the 90s. Those skirts are amazing even today. Would seriously love any of those babies on my bumbum.

STILL love.

My favourite dip dyes. Done the Abbey Lee, fringe and all and loved it, but it required much upkeep. I now have some very faded red/pink ends and REALLY want to try aqua. I hear those Kevin Murphy colour bug things are good as they go on really vibrantly onto dark hair and then just wash out. How perfect for some spontaneous hair play.

Spring Jeans Please

My favourite pieces from the Elizabeth and James Spring 2012 collection. The perfect shades of pink and the perfect skinny leg, now to get skinny legs to shove into these babies.
I have a real obsession with pink recently, perhaps making up for my pink hating days as a tween. Really love the floral pants too, they're different from the array of floral pants I have seen, seem more "fresh".
Think I will also get this done to my nails to match. Disco Spring!

Adelaide

About a week ago mum called me and told me that my dads mum, my nana, had passed away. She died very peacefully in the hospital with my dad and his brother Geoff by her side. She was too proud, stubborn and selfless to get to the age where she would be dependant on other people all the time, so I think the fact that she passed away so peacefully says that she was ready. She was 93 after all, and has lead an extraordinary life. Imagine the massive changes that she would have witnessed over those 93 years! It's crazy to think what that would have been like.
So, the last 5 days I've been in Adelaide with the family, celebrating her life with the family. It was really hot and sunny the entire time we were there, which was perfect because we are usually there to have christmas with her and it just felt like those times a bit.
I took some photos of the garden at her friend Margo's house and also at a Brooks family house in the hills, I just wanted to capture the feeling of being in the balmy suburbs with the fam fam.

Classic bangers with a twist. Watermelon and fetta salad, so good.

 A Rosemary Rose.

Amaaaaazing orange cake (with tonnes of cream, mah bad)

Ted indulging in some man time amongst the flowers.

Bits of Buckland.
